| Interested or heard of anyone changing gears in your DIFF.-> Read in the below :: MY question is wether anyone else has known of someone making or selling modified diffs with custom ratios ?? and if not is anyone interested knowing that you can custom spec basically the ratio you want.. and then with easy calculations you can predetermine your final gear ratios/range and top speed in each gear.. I figure this can be benificial to drag 300zx's and track 300zx's and even just the High hp street guys who dont like the immediate shift points or who want quicker shift points... Well my mechanic had a spare nissan non turbo diff and since outside of os giken gears which are stronger and create taller 1st/2nd/and 3rd gears there is no way to change the gearing ratios on the car other than the rear diff.. now if anyone has looked inside a diff of ours anyone would say,, you are not changing or modifing that with anyone else's gears/./ well its been done.. my mechanic put some domestic gears did some serious milling in the housing,, and some other trick things along with a diff cooler and pump.. we now can virtually put any gearing ratio in the the rear end.. we have a 305 rear diff setup in there now that I have tracked on heavily on the longer race tracks,, which is just absolutely amazing what a difference it makes on a track.. from 4 shift points to 2,, to playing out each gear so much longer..
